FAQ

What can I expect at The Art Lounge workshops?

The purpose of all Art Lounge events is to provide an inclusive and fun environment for you to explore your creative side.

All workshops and events focus on learning to paint using acrylics on canvas while Lucy teaches her signature process and style.

Do we all paint the same thing?

Nope!

Unlike other 'paint and sip' classes, Lucy's workshops encourage you to take your own creative direction, choose your own colours and experiment on the canvas. This is the beginning of Lucy's intuitive painting process.

Lucy provides plenty of guidance, teaches her methods and signature brush strokes to help you make an artwork that is yours rather than a copy of someone elses.

But, I've never painted before...

Everyone can thrive in this workshop, no matter your experience level! Whether you are experienced and what some tips or try a new style or have never picked up a paint brush before, The Art Lounge events are a fun way to get creative in a low pressure, inclusive environment.

Can I book an Art Lounge workshop for a private event?

Yes, absolutely!

Workshops can be booked for private events. Think, girls nights, hens parties, birthdays, team building or end of year parties. Lucy can bring her workshops to you at your home, an Airbnb, your workplace or can help organise a special location like a winery or estate.

Can I take my painting home?

Absolutely, and please send me a photo of it hanging on your walls, I would love to see where your creation lives!

What materials do you paint with?

I paint with premium, artist quality paints and use premium canvas which provides all of my artwork with archival qualities to last lifetimes. All of my timber frames are crafted using sustainable plantation timbers and every artwork is coated with varnish which does not yellow, protects from dust and UV.

What if I buy a ticket but I'm sick on the day?

We get it, life happens. Obviously we will be super bummed if you can't make it but your ticket can be transferred to another event of equal or lesser value if 24 hours notice is given.

No shows will not have the opportunity to transfer tickets.
