For those who like to know the process, this is everything you need to know about how I create the perfect commissioned painting for you
Step 1:
Tell me everything about your dream custom artwork. I've outlined everything I need in this easy form - simply fill out the Commission Request form to get started
Step 2:
Pay the $100 deposit. This locks in your spot, I only take on a limited amount of commissioned paintings each month and by paying the deposit you confirm the month I will create your custom piece.
Step 3:
Leave it to me, I will use all the information you provided in your Commission Application and write a Commission Proposal for you. This includes your custom colour palette, size options, price, delivery timeline and all other details. I will email this to you in a couple of days.
Step 4:
You review the proposal, we revise any changes and once it's signed I will send you an invoice to pay a 50% deposit which I use to order your custom canvas, frame and any other supplies I need to create your perfect painting.
Step 5:
When your month rolls around I start your painting! I will send you updates as I go and images for you to approve once the painting is finished. I am always happy to revise any areas you are not 100% in love with. I want you to absolutely adore this artwork.
Step 6:
Once you have approved the painting, I let it fully dry before I varnish it and package it ready to be shipped to your doorstep. The whole painting process takes 3-4 weeks but varies depending on the size of the painting.
Step 7:
Your painting arrives, you hang it on your wall and love looking at it all the time! Also, send me a photo, I always love to my paintings in their forever homes!

How much does a custom painting cost?
The cost of a painting is dependent on its size and if its framed or not. As a guide, some of my most common canvas sizes and 2026 commission prices are listed below (prices include timber framing).
20x20cm: $330
30x30cm: $420
60x60cm: $860
100x100cm: $1900
120x150cm: $3250
Please note, commissioned paintings can be made to any size as the canvas will be custom ordered from my framers.
What if I don't know what I want exactly?
That's what I'm here for! I can help create your perfect colour palette, figure out what size will work best in your space and with your budget and anything else that your custom piece needs. Start by filling out the commission application form and I we can go from there.
Can I give you images to use as inspiration?
Yes! Please do. One of my favourite parts of painting commissioned pieces is using your photos for inspiration for the paintings composition. It's totally not necessary but it's definitely a lovely touch to make even more personalised for you.
When will my painting arrive?
I will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
What about framing my painting?
I get all my frames made in Victoria from sustainable plantation timber. Framing your artwork is totally optional but if you choose to have it frames, you can choose the timber colour and I organise the rest. It will arrive beautifully frames, ready to hang.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
